I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I follow their ethical framework and I am committed to regular supervision. I have a degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
As an Integrative therapist I can work with you to produce a unique approach adapted to suit your individual needs and places your best interest at the heart of the counselling process. I am able to draw upon a wide range of skills and techniques from a variety of therapeutic approaches. This can be short-or long-term counselling.
A brief description of different approaches I work with
*Psychodynamic counselling helps individuals understand and explore their past experience and how they influence you in the present.
*Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) focuses on examining the way that thought, feeling and behaviour can influence our actions. We work together to change your way of thinking and/or behaviour patterns.
*Holistic approach focuses on the body-mind connection. I integrated Psycho-education into my practise to help you understand the neuropsychological connection between our body and mind enabling holistic healing
*Play Therapy skills for my younger clients
I have an extensive experience working with adults, young people and children through training with Place2Be and counselling at schools, supporting young people and adults at Therapy Partners as well as Mid-Kent and Maidstone Mind.
In my practise, I work in a friendly and compassionate way, which helps to build a trusting relationship and provides a warm, supportive, safe and non-judgmental environment for you to explore and express your feelings and emotions. The pace of your counselling sessions will be led by you.
